Ca a d’abord été une promenade vers les 6 heures du matin, quand il n’y a que les locaux qui s’activent. Et puis des photos, parce que la lumière et l’ambiance. Mais la peinture n’a plus grand chose à voir avec la photo. on a deplacé les tables, des batiments, des gens sont partis, d’autres venus, la lumière à changé plusieurs fois… en fait, la peinture s’est inventé sa propre ambiance, à grands coups de « et si… » et de « ca marche pas là ». Perso, c’est ca que j’aime. Refaire la photo, j’ai fait déjà, c’est bon. Ca ne m’interresse plus. Mais là, je pars à l’aventure, et plus que l’image finie, c’est cette aventure que j’aime. Bien sur, je préfère que ca se termine bien. Mais même quand ca se passe mal, il reste l’aventure vécue.

First, it was a stroll at dawn, when only non tourist people are around. Then, I’ve done some photos, becaus of the light, the ambiance. but the painting doesn’t have much left of the  photo. Tables and building moved,  some people came in some people get out, the light changed many times (I think many is about 5 times  here)… actually, the painting invented itself,  with many « what if » and « doesn’t do it ». that’s what i like in painting. Just make a copy of the photo, I already made this challenge. Doesn’t fullfill me anymore. I prefer the adventure of going somewhere else I don’t already know. Sure, i do prefer when the painting is a good one, eventually, but even if it turns to some muddy end, I’ll still keep the adventure
